Terms of Service

CaptureIt lets an event owner (usually a couple) create a photo gallery with a QR code. Guests scan the code and upload photos from their phone browser without installing an app or creating an account. The service is run by:

To create events you need an account. Give accurate information, keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts are for adults.

• A new event starts as a free trial. Currently the trial lasts 7 days and allows 3 guest uploads; we may change this for new events.
• To receive more photos you choose a plan with a one-time payment. Plans differ in how many guests can share photos, how many photos each guest can add, which features are included and how long the gallery stays online after the wedding. The plans and prices are shown before you pay. It is not a subscription and renews nothing.
• You can move to a bigger plan at any time by paying the difference in price.
• The gallery's online period counts from the wedding date you set (within a year of paying) or, without a date, from the payment. When it ends, the gallery closes to guests; you can still see and download all photos from your dashboard. Ordering thank-you cards extends the period by 2 years.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• If something goes wrong with a payment or a plan, contact us and we will make it right. These terms do not affect any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

• You can order engraved thank-you cards and QR table stands with a plan or later. Thank-you cards come in packs of 50. The prices and the delivery fee are shown before you pay. The Premium plan includes 25 stands with free delivery, and extra stands can be added.
• We currently deliver within Croatia to the address you enter at checkout. We start making your order after payment and will contact you if anything is unclear.
• Cards are engraved with the message you write and your gallery's QR code, and stands carry your gallery's QR code. Because they are made to your specification, the right to withdraw from the purchase does not apply to them, as the consumer law allows for personalised goods. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, contact us and we will replace it.

• Deciding who receives the QR code and link. Anyone with them can open the gallery, unless you use moderation or a scheduled reveal.
• Letting your guests know that photos they upload will be collected and shown in the gallery.
• Reviewing and removing photos that should not be there. You can reject or delete any photo from your dashboard.
• Using the service lawfully, including respecting the privacy of the people in the photos.

When you upload a photo, you confirm that you took it or have permission to share it, and that it does not contain:

• illegal content, or content that is hateful, threatening, harassing or sexually explicit;
• images that humiliate or expose people without their consent;
• malware, or anything meant to disrupt the service.

You keep ownership of your photos and text. To run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, resize, display and deliver them, only for the event they were uploaded to and only for as long as the event exists. We do not use your photos for advertising or anything else.

Event owners with a plan can download all photos of their event at any time.

We may remove content or suspend access if it breaks these terms or the law, or if we receive a valid complaint. Where possible we will tell the event owner.

We work to keep CaptureIt available and your photos safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. A wedding cannot be repeated, so we recommend downloading your photos after the event and keeping your own copy.

If we ever need to shut the service down, we will give event owners reasonable notice so they can download their photos.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

You can delete an event at any time from your dashboard, which removes its photos. You can ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use CaptureIt after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live. Questions? Write to us at info@alteq.hr.
